Thnx! :3

so cool! ahhhh working in a trio sounds like it would be so fun - and you've got so much to show for it!!!

larrynachos responds:

Yeah! Your music is pretty awesome too! We should collab together, man!

You are the only person who turns the snare on and off like that. so simple, so GODDAMGNDNNG CATCHY, and I've never heard it before.

Enchanting!!! I haven't the heart to take off half a star or so for the unclean-ness (which I'm sure is only due to the short amount of time you spent), since the overall feel is so lovely.

This is one beast of a song. I dunno how you get your drums sounding so daaaAAAAANG awesome.

I've mentioned the only criticism I have before - you should try bigger leaps between notes, 5ths and 6ths instead of 2nds and 3rds!

I love this.

Nice stuff. A little more high-end on the vocals maybe? I love your drum loops, they're catchy as hell. I think some elements could benefit from being a little brighter? A little more 8000-or-so-hz on the snare/hihats? Dunno. Totally agree with the moby comment :D

Dang it must take a lot of time and effort to produce a song like this! Sounds like the nu jazz genre to me, like the artist rjd2 - the gritty drums, jazzy instruments, hints of electro, and interesting samples.

The kick could be a little more pronounced if you ask me. Maybe turn the reeverb down and turn the dry volume up? And give it a little more high-end? That's all I've got.

thanks for listening. will have to check out rjd2

Great sounds that all sound complimentary together!! Mood variation was already mentioned, I think that's the main thing missing here. The melody could also perhaps be a little bolder, all the notes in the melodies are very close together. love the porta/vibrato thing going on, this is good stuff!

This is pretty neat, you've mentioned you're aware of your mastering so I won't harp on that too much - the 1st kick (0:33) needs to be powered up, and the 2nd one (1:55) is clipping I believe. They may actually be the same kick, responding differently to the rest of the mix I'm not sure. The snare and hats also sound a little close-up (they need to be mixed in more).

On the good side however, this is a neat bunch of ideas and quite easy to listen to. Have you ever listened to Chicane? It sounds reminiscent of em! Work on the mastering and you'll have something pretty nice here.

XToxicReaper responds:

Yes thank you for the respond.

I was a little worried of what happened to the mix down coming to the snare and hats. On the kicks your speculation was right I use the same kick twice so before I master it I might have to fix it up on the kicks department. Also I feel like I have to make a new drum pattern as well hopefully, this would happen.

Thanks for the Critic it very well appreciated

Hopefully my first song will come out well after I'm done mastering it.

Heyo, I produce music using Fruity Loops Studio. I love the art of production, and I'm always eager to learn more. I write electronic tunes that tend not to fit within any genre, and I'd like to say that's my style!
